Master Singers of Worcester

Worcester, MA

From the heart of Massachusetts, the Master Singers of Worcester have an appetite for collaborating. They’ve sung with jazz musicians, an opera company, even a bluegrass band. The Master Singers of Worcester was founded 30-years ago by Alfred Nash Patterson who wanted to bring widely diverse musical genres to the greater Worcester area. Under their current Artistic Director, Malcolm Halliday, the chorus continues to bring new or rarely performed works to central Massachusetts, including Ellington's "Sacred Concerts," Libby Larson's "Eleanor Roosevelt," Handel's "Israel in Egypt" and Gwyneth Walker's "New England Journey," which the chorus commissioned for their 30th anniversary. Being able to sing together gives meaning to their lives as individuals and as an ensemble.
